Turnkey Installation

DBS will keep your clarifier or thickener moving with our professional turnkey services for installing new or retrofit drive units. For retrofits, the DBS team will remove your old failed drive unit, install a new DBS drive, and then adjust and align your clarifier or thickener to the original manufacturer's specification. Our engineers will also make any structural modifications or repairs necessary to get your equipment working 100% when it's returned to service. After installation of your new or retrofit drive unit, DBS will keep your machinery up and running with a comprehensive stock of spare parts and our unique 24-hour "Engineer on Call" service. With this service, field engineers and field technicians are available for on-site visits to make any adjustments or repairs.

Aftermarket Parts And Service

The Operation and Maintenance manual supplied with your DBS Manufacturing drive unit includes spare parts information. These parts can be ordered from DBS, and in many cases, you can also find a manufacturer’s part number which you can use to source parts locally. Additional support with spare parts, troubleshooting, maintenance, or repair of your drive unit is available from our engineering team. For more information about aftermarket parts and service, please contact us with the location, model, and serial number of your DBS drive unit.

Torque Test

To ensure superior performance under the most severe service conditions, DBS has built a dynamometer for dynamic load tests. Our in-house dynamometer can perform witnessed clarifier drive unit tests as an adjunct or to save the expense of a field torque test. For on-site testing, you can rent our portable field test dynamometer or a DBS engineer can perform the test for you.

Training

DBS offers technical training to our customers, sales representatives, and OEMs. We also offer sales training. Courses are offered on demand at our factory. On-site training and job site specific training is also available.

Warranty Information

All DBS products carry a standard warranty of 12 months from start-up or 18 months from shipping, whichever comes first. Additionally, the main gear-bearing carries a 5-year warranty for the rotary distributor application and 10-year warranty for all clarifier and thickener rake applications. Warranties cover parts and labor, but do not cover the cost of transportation of parts or labor to or from the installation site.

 

Products manufactured by DBS shall be warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of eighteen (18) months from date of shipment by DBS or twelve (12) months from date of first operation whichever comes first, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Alteration, accident, neglect, improper application, improper maintenance or misuse shall void any warranty of DBS or its suppliers. On products manufactured by DBS, our obligation under this warranty is limited to replacement or repair of parts determined by DBS to be defective and no charges will be accepted for removal or replacement of equipment or parts. We reserve the right to request return of goods to the point of manufacture, freight prepaid, to determine the cause of failure, and refusal to comply with such request within a reasonable time will void any applicable warranty. DBS will not be liable to any person or company for incidental or consequential damages, injury, or commercial loss resulting from any breach of warranty and under no circumstances shall our liability exceed the contract price for the goods in question. The warranty is expressly in lieu of any other warranties, expressed or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. No DBS employee is authorized to warrant the suitability of system or products beyond the state of use or warranty by the manufacturer of components or systems.
