DBS thickeners drive units have a number of features which include an automatic lift mechanism for raising and lowering the rakes during high torque and low torque conditions. Lift mechanisms are equipped with 4-20 mA transmitters for remote indication of the position of the rake mechanism. Other features include reversing or “jogging” capability for “freeing “ the rake mechanism when stuck.
